Throttle Position Sensor
Changed from the Mustang TPS from the 4.6TB to one that has a pigtail already on it.
This is the late style TPS that fits the TB below on the right in each picture and while the switch portions are the similar, the housing has a larger extension from the housing to fill in the gap. The center around the switch matches the bore in the TB. The TPS used here (on the left) is from an Explorer. The center is smaller and the mounting holes are a little closer together. The mount holes were enlarged outward with a zip tool.
Fit the TPS to the TB with the mounting screwed hand tight, rotate the throttleplate and center the TPS on the shaft. It should be able to rotate without causing the TPS to move up/down or forward/backward then tighten it down. This particular TPS on the Explorer has a dust cover, that is just below on the right.
